From obtaining an Undergraduate Degree from prestigious Cornell University, where he became a member of the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc., to receiving his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, Idris has dedicated his life to being an example of what one can achieve with dedication, resilience, and hard work.
Idris brings extensive legal experience as a former trial prosecutor, having handled a wide range of complex cases in the pursuit of justice. He has led and assisted with over 100 criminal trials including Murders, Child Abuse, Aggravated Robbery, and Drug Possession cases. His reputation for thorough preparation, sound judgement, and ethical practice has earned respect from peers and community members alike.
Beyond the courtroom, Idris is a devoted advocate for local causes, volunteering his time and expertise to support youth development programs, neighborhood initiatives, and access to legal resources. He is an Eagle Scout and Former Texas State Youth of the Year for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. His belief in servant leadership guides every aspect of his work.
